RADAR room exercise 1

Raymarine C 120 Basic set up

There will be a maroon and white book near the RADAR named "C - Series Display Operating Guide". Use this book to set up the RADAR.

1. Read card number 1 about Power. 

• Turn the RADAR on by pressing the red button and then following the instructions on the screen.
• Press the left softkey to transmit. Softkeys are the five buttons along the bottom of the RADAR set.
• Press OK to remove the Backlight box from the screen.

2. Read card number 10. Notice the features such as 

• Range ring
• Boats position
• Landmass
• Ships heading marker
• Surface vessel or in this case lateral channel markers

3. Press the Range button in and out to change range. 

• Set the RADAR to a range of 3 miles.
